Loeb joins Citroen for Rally GB preparation

Nine-time World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb made a surprise appearance in Hafren as part of Citroen’s pre-rally GB test last week.

The Frenchman, who finished second on his last Rally GB outing six years ago – but managed a hat-trick of Welsh wins between 2008-2010, completed the team’s opening day of running in Hafren.

Asked about Loeb’s presence in the test, a Citroen spokesperson told MN: “He hasn’t driven the C3 WRC on gravel since Mexico, this made sense.”

Loeb will be back in the C3 for his third and final outing of the season in Spain later this month.
