Hu­bert seals GP3 ti­tle and tar­gets F2 grad­u­a­tion

An­thoine Hu­bert has set his sights on step­ping up to the For­mula 2 Cham­pi­onship in 2019 af­ter tak­ing the GP3 Se­ries ti­tle last week­end in Abu Dhabi.

The 22-year-old is in his sec­ond sea­son of GP3 with ART Grand Prix, and took a podium at all but one of the nine rounds.

“I think it’s re­ally close to be­ing sure that I will be on the grid next year, there are not many other op­por­tu­ni­ties in other cat­e­gories,” he told MN.

“I think I will be there, I’m just not sure what team I will be with.”

MN un­der­stands Hu­bert is favourite to test with Dutch team MP Mo­tor­sport.

He sealed the ti­tle in the first race , ahead of team-mate Nikita Maze pin and Fer­rari­af­fil­i­ated Call um Ilott.
