JOHN BOLSTER AWARD
The John Bolster Award is named after the co-founder and former editor of Autosport, and is given to recognise an exceptional contribution to motorsport technology and Toto Wolff, who has overseen Mercedes’s incredible success in F1, was the victor.
His is only the second team to have won five F1 titles in a row – the other was Ferrari under Jean Todt – who was presenting Wolff with the silverware.
Speaking to todt, Wolff said: “it means a lot to receive the award from you – you were an inspiration in your time at Ferrari and you were the first to call and say that it was an honour to be in the five-time winners’ club with you.”
