BTCC return for Hill with Trade Price Racing’s Audi S3

Jake Hill will return to the British Touring Car Championship grid in 2019 at the wheel of a Trade Price Racing Audi S3 saloon.

Hill started this season driving for the Team Hard operation in an VW CC, and finished in second place in the second race of the season in wet-butdrying conditions. However, he split with the squad before the middle of the season and was unable to return to competition.

Hill previously raced the S3 for Shaun Hollamby’s Amdtuning in 2015 in a one-off outing. The 2019 operation will be run by new team Trade Price Cars and overseen by AMD.

Hill, 24, said: “We have been working non-stop since the summer to get things in place to get back into the BTCC, and I am absolutely buzzing to once again be part of this exciting new project with Trade Price Cars Racing.

“We’ve had a tough year but everything happens for a reason and I am more focused, fitter, and more determined than ever to succeed – this will be a fun ride. I really, really liked being on the podium at Brands so I’d like to get a bit more experience of it in 2019.”
