WRC LAUNCH AT ASI
WHERE: BIRMINGHAM WHEN: JANUARY 11, 2018 Thursday January 11 was a day Motorsport Network made history. For the first time in the 27-year history of Autosport International, an FIA world championship was launched under the roof of Birmingham’s NEC.
Every driver, co-driver and team principal from the World Rally Championship was joined by hundreds of media and thousands of fans when the series took over the opening day of this year’s ASI. M-sport Ford’s 2017 World Rally champion Sebastien Ogier was bowled over by the event and immediately called for it to be run onto a public admission day, offering even more fans the opportunity to come in and join Ogier and his colleagues looking forward to the season ahead.
The six-time world champion’s wish has been granted: the WRC’S back in town again next month, but this time it’s going to be a Super Saturday (January 12) with everybody welcome to the 2019 season launch.
