TICKTUM WINS MACAU F3 GRAND PRIX – AGAIN
WHERE: MACAU, CHINA WHEN: NOVEMBER 18 Charging Briton Dan Ticktum seemed set fair for the title in the European F3 Championship after taking four victories, until Mick Schumacher went on a late season charge and snatched the glory.
However, the Macau F3 Grand Prix is the blue riband event of the year and the Motopark-run driver snatched a second successive win on the streets in the Far East. It was a race he led from start to finish.
That event was marred by a dramatic accident for Sophia Florsch, who collided with a rival, vaulted the barriers and ended up colliding with a photographer’s tower. She is recovering from a spinal fracture.
After taking part in the final Formula 2 rounds of the season in Abu Dhabi, Ticktum crowned his season by collecting the National Racing Driver of the Year accolade at the Autosport Awards ceremony.
