THRILLIN GCLIO CUP FINALE

It was not the early Christmas present anyone was wanting. The news that 2019 will be the final season of the Renault UK Clio Cup was met with disappointment.

There have been some brilliant races over the years and wouldn’t it be great if things could end with a bang and we have a memorable final season?

Being realistic, there are concerns over entry levels as a number of top drivers from last year progress on to new series. But it would be great if some stars of the past return to help give the championship a fitting send-off.

Regardless of grid size, one event I’m particularly looking forward to is Knockhill. Not since 2015 have the Clios visited the Scottish venue and with it often providing spectacular racing it should be a special event.
