HISTORICS HEAD TO ANGLESEY? IT’S AN MN DREAM

-

I’ve long thought the spectacular Anglesey circuit in North Wales deserved a good historic race meeting on its calendar, so the news that the Historic Sports Car Club will be visiting in July is excellent.

I don’t get to Anglesey often enough but it is worth the trip. The fantastic backdrop of sea and mountains, a smooth and wide track, flowing corners and more than ample run-off make it ideal for historic cars and the announcement of the July 13/14 HSCC date has been met with widespread approval.

Sure, for those based in the south-east, it is quite a haul, but probably no longer than a trip to Croft.

Two days of racing will feature many of the HSCC’S categories including Historic Formula Ford and the Derek Bell Trophy. The club is working on plans to make it a special occasion and, if the weather gods are onside, it should be a cracking weekend.
