This brand new model, which is a collaboration between Jeanneau, Garroni Design (interior) and Michael Peters (hull), replaces the NC11. The yard sold more than 350 units of that model so it will be looking for the NC37 to pick up the baton and get running.

The versatility of the main deck is a likely contributor to the old model’s success, an innovation the 37 builds on. It has asymmetric decks and includes a sunken side deck to starboard with direct access to the saloon via a full-height side door. The port deck isn’t as generous, but it is still perfectly useable.

The L-shaped bench in the cockpit converts into a sunpad and the unit can also slide fore and aft to give more space on the bathing platform or cockpit

Instead of fitting sliding cockpit doors that gobble up space the doors are split in two with a pivoting two-pane arrangement to port and a top hinged pane of glass to starboard that connects directly to the galley. It’s a smart use of space and thanks to the fact that there are no steps until you get to the central companionway the main deck areas flow together seamlessly.

Below decks there are two main cabins and a supplementary crawl space that tucks beneath the saloon to port, which could be a children’s bunk or storage space. Splitting the bathroom so there is a toilet and sink to port and shower to starboard is another design success.
