This brand new model, which is a col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween Jeanneau, Gar­roni De­sign (in­te­rior) and Michael Peters (hull), re­places the NC11. The yard sold more than 350 units of that model so it will be look­ing for the NC37 to pick up the ba­ton and get run­ning.

The ver­sa­til­ity of the main deck is a likely con­trib­u­tor to the old model’s suc­cess, an in­no­va­tion the 37 builds on. It has asym­met­ric decks and in­cludes a sunken side deck to star­board with di­rect ac­cess to the saloon via a full-height side door. The port deck isn’t as gen­er­ous, but it is still per­fectly use­able.

In­stead of fit­ting slid­ing cock­pit doors that gob­ble up space the doors are split in two with a piv­ot­ing two-pane ar­range­ment to port and a top hinged pane of glass to star­board that con­nects di­rectly to the gal­ley. It’s a smart use of space and thanks to the fact that there are no steps un­til you get to the cen­tral com­pan­ion­way the main deck ar­eas flow to­gether seam­lessly.

Be­low decks there are two main cab­ins and a sup­ple­men­tary crawl space that tucks be­neath the saloon to port, which could be a chil­dren’s bunk or stor­age space. Split­ting the bath­room so there is a toi­let and sink to port and shower to star­board is an­other de­sign suc­cess.
