FA I R L I N E TARGA 6 3 GTO APPROX £ 1.5M NEW

As a die hard Fairline enthusiast, and owner of two Targas, the Italian Mancini-designed Targa 63 GTO would be my boat for the sun. To accommodate friends and family I’d choose the ‘galley up’ four-cabin version with Seakeeper gyro. I’d keep it in Ibiza where we’d spend the summer cruising the Balearics in style. Typically, we’d have a lie-in, make our way to a bay for lunch, perhaps take the jet tender ashore to a beach bar before watching a spectacular Ibizan sunset. My allotted crew member would wash the boat, serve the drinks, prepare lunch and helm the boat when I’ve had too much to drink!

INTERMARINE CIGARETTE 37 APPROX £ 350K USED

One of my fondest childhood memories is watching The Spy

Who Loved Me. My love of power boats was ignited by seeing James Bond, played by Roger Moore at the time, collected by the beautiful Naomi in a stunning 40-foot Italian power boat. The boat was an Intermarine Cigarette 37 and I’ve hankered after one ever since. I’d allow at least £350,000 to buy and restore one, including painting it in the film’s original colour scheme. I’d keep it in Porto Cervo and take it to the Hotel Cala di Volpe for lunch -– wearing a blazer of course!

AZIMUT MAGELLANO 53 APPROX £ 1M NEW

Whilst I’d love a Nordhavn for my third boat, I know my wife wouldn’t approve so I’d be relying on the Italians again for a stylish long-range cruiser. What attracts me to the Magellano is her ability to travel comfortably at displacement speeds. I think my wife and I, our family and friends would be very comfortable, and we could just about manage a boat of this size without the help of a permanent crew. It would be sacrilege to keep it in one place, so we’d use her to cruise Greek, Turkish and Croatian waters.

What would you buy? You have won £5 million in MBY’S fantasy lottery, which you have to spend on three boats. What would you choose and why? Send in your suggestions to mby@ti-media.com with My Fantasy Fleet in the subject line
