Fairline’s sporty F33 may be one of the most exciting new stars of the show (see page

39) but the Squadron 68 is arguably more important to the financial success of the yard. This is Fairline’s first boat to be built at its new

Hythe facility for craft over 60ft, and with the expert pen of Alberto Mancini giving it some real panache it should make quite a splash.

Admittedly, the hull and lower deck arrangement is the same as the

Targa 63 GTO but that’s no bad thing as this has allowed Fairline to focus on creating a stunning main deck and three inviting outdoor living areas spread across the cockpit, foredeck and that enormous flybridge. We like the look of the Squadron 68 a lot and will deliver our verdict via a full MBY sea trial very soon.
