2 AXOPAR SPREADS ITS WINGS
Axopar has revealed an all-new version of its flagship 37. Featuring a brand new hull and available as an open (Spyder), T-top (Sun Top) and cabin (XC), the new 37 is exactly the same length as the old model but is said to offer even quicker acceleration onto the plane and significantly improved fuel efficiency.
On board, the heart of the main deck is now completely flat, making it easier to move around the dinette, but the most significant change is the addition of Mercedes-style gullwing doors above the forward cabin. These open up and out to boost the connection between the two decks and improve access and ventilation.
The cabin itself is more spacious than before and there is the option to have a separate toilet compartment for added privacy. The aft end of the deck can be left open or fitted with a sunpad, wetbar or another double cabin for extra sleeping space.
The standard boat is powered by a pair of 300hp or 350hp Mercury outboards for a top speed of up to 50 knots, depending on the engines and deck options chosen. Prices for the Spyder version start from €88,000, though this doesn’t include VAT or engines.
At the launch event in Helsinki, Brabus Marine also unveiled an all-new Shadow 900, which will be shown to the public alongside the 37 at next month’s Düsseldorf Boat Show. Based on the new 37, but given the full Brabus treatment, including an upgraded interior, upholstery, a unique colour scheme and a pair of 450hp Mercury Racing engines, it is good for a top speed of 65 knots.
