3 WILLIAMS GOES LARGE

-

Williams Jet Tenders has launched its largest model yet. Introduced at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Evojet 70 is aimed at the superyacht tender market. Measuring 23ft long, it can either be carried aboard larger yachts (40m plus) or used as a chase boat for smaller craft.

Powered by a 230-250hp Yanmar 4LV diesel inboard engine linked to a jet drive, it is safer around swimmers than outboard powered craft and draws less, too, making it easier to stow on board and ideal for ferrying guests to and from the beach.

A deep-vee hull is said to give the Evojet superior sea-keeping to its smaller siblings, while a 200-litre tank greatly increases its range, allowing it to be used as a dayboat for exploring further afield or as a watersports craft complete with integrated ski pole.

A number of new features have also been introduced with the superyacht market in mind. An optional carbon fibre T-top provides shade when erect but folds flush to reduce its air draft when sliding into a tender garage. The rear seat folds to create a walk-through to the stern, while slot-in grab rails and flat treads offer side boarding options. It is capable of carrying up to 13 people and costs £155,000 ex VAT.

Mathew Hornsby, sales director at Williams Jet Tenders, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the new Evojet and the fantastic response we received at Monaco from our customers. This is a new market for us, and we are really pleased that our unique proposition to deliver semi-customisable tenders with shorter lead times without comprising on quality has really struck a chord with owners”.

The Evojet is an entirely new model line for Williams and a larger model is expected to be launched next year.
