2 ABSOLUTE’S BEACH CLUB BEDROOM

-

The trend for beach clubs looks set to reach new heights with this latest offering from Absolute Yachts. Renderings of its new Navetta 64 show a fully glazed beach club that converts from a sun-drenched transom lounge to a cabin under the stars with the aid of a convertible sofa-bed and a pair of sliding glass doors. There’s even a day heads tucked alongside.

This latest addition to the Navetta range is due to be launched at the Cannes show in September. As well as the optional beach club cabin, the 64 previews a bold new look for the Navetta series with a raked forward windscreen and even larger bow windows. These also provide a clue to the location of the owners’ cabin, forward rather than amidships, with an ensuite bathroom in the bow.

Two more cabins (one double, one twin) with ensuite bathrooms occupy the midships space. Factor in that convertible beach club cabin at the stern and you have room to sleep as many as eight guests across the four ensuite cabins. There’s even a small crew cabin tucked in to starboard with a separate companionway leading down from the starboard side-deck so as not to disturb guests.

The other unusual feature is the option of a partially enclosed flybridge with open air seating at the aft end but a climate controlled helm station, bar and dinette forward.

Designed for a maximum speed in the mid-20s and a fast cruise in the high teens, it is powered by a pair of twin Volvo Penta IPS1200S or IPS1350S. Pricing for the 64 and all its clever new options will be announced at a later date.
