Many echo sounder and fish finders use transom mount or throughhull transducers. These give the transducer the best ‘view’ of the seabed, but being permanently immersed, they do foul up with marine growth. Not only does this obscure the transducer, it also can create turbulence at speed as the transducer loses the ability for water to stream smoothly past it.

Foulfree is a specialised foul-release coating that is biocide-free and does not poison marine growth. Once cured, Foulfree forms a superslippery surface over the transducer, preventing marine growth from attaching to its surface.
