Perhaps ‘toy’ is the wrong word, and you can’t actually buy one, but if you charter the 70m (230ft) superyacht Sherakhan, the inventory includes Michelin-starred chef Toine Smulders and his two ‘fellow galley profession­als’ among its 19-strong crew. Smulders has daily meetings with the yacht’s hotel manager Manonde Wit, planning each meal, including where it will be served, themes and wine pairings to ensure

‘the ultimate dining experience’. There are plenty of choices too, from the multiple outdoor decks with beautiful landscape views to the show-stopping double-height dining room with a galleried atrium and skylight from the glass-bottomed sundeck jacuzzi. The latter (Smulders’s favourite place on Sherakhan to create an ‘unforgetta­ble dining experience’) seats 26 guests at an enormous curved table with custom-made chandelier­s and sumptuous surroundin­gs.
