9 WELL-BEING SURVEY

UK trade body British Marine has commissioned a survey in association with the Canal & River Trust to assess the economic, social and health aspects of all forms of watersports. The survey is being conducted by Simetrica-jacobs, a firm that specialises in social impact measurement. Everyone involved in boating or water-based activities is encouraged to take part in the 10-minute online survey, a key goal of which is to assess the contribution such activities make to our national well-being. The government is increasingly factoring well-being considerations into its decision-making. The results will be published this spring.
