10 REVISED SHIPPING FORECAST TIMES

The BBC has changed the times of its UK

Marine Weather Service broadcasts – including the Shipping Forecast. The new slots will remain in place for the foreseeable future.

On week days there will be three broadcasts on LW and FM at 0048, 0520 and 1203, plus one more on LW only at 1754. At the weekend there will be three broadcasts, all on LW and FM at 0048, 0520 and 1754. However, strong wind and gale warnings will still be issued as and when necessary.

These most recent changes to scheduling will not impact HM Coastguard’s broadcasts via Navtex and MF/VHF marine radio.
