SPINNAKER BRADNER TIMEPIECE

Spinnaker Watches has reissued a previously sold out piece, the Bradner. With a “re-focus on quality and materials used in its build”, it features an improved anti-reflective coating for the sapphire glass, improved gearing of the inner bezel inside the case (the reason the watch has two ‘winders’ is that one of them moves the inner bezel allowing it to be lined up with the minute hand to allow the wearer to record elapsed time) and improved water resistance (now 180m). The 316L stainless steel case has a 42mm diameter and features a clear back so that the selfwinding automatic movement can be seen operating.

There’s a leather strap but also the option of a “bead of rice” construction metal bracelet. The individual curved inner links resemble grains of rice and are flanked by larger outer links, in the style of classic watch bracelets of the 1950s and 1960s. Its buckle has a button safety release for extra security.
