The outgoing S330, which is to be replaced by this new model, is one of our favourite boats in the Sealine range because it exemplifies what the brand is so good at. It’s practical, safe, very well thought out, sensibly priced and as a step up from a weekender it’s a brilliant package that Sealine knows doesn’t need much tinkering to improve it. A C335 with sliding doors that enclose the main deck has already been launched but the S is a throwback to traditional sportscruisers with open-backed cockpits and a main deck that comes to life when the sun is shining. The C is the more versatile, year-round option but in good weather the design of the S’s cockpit and its connection with the water is hard to beat.

What’s changed with the 335 is the options that are available on the lower deck, because there is more than enough space on this sub-35 footer to live onboard for a reasonable length of time. There isn’t space to delve into the myriad ways in which you can opt to arrange the lower deck accommodation but the main choices are between an enclosed or open plan front cabin or whether to lose the front cabin all together in lieu of a large U-shaped dinette that is peppered with storage. For those who regularly use the boat as a couple, having the double cabin amidships with a spacious dinette forward where you can eat and lounge around in comfort is possibly more useful than a double bed that will be redundant most of the time. The S335 has two single and one twin diesel option from Volvo Penta but the S330V comes with two 300hp Mercury Verados outboards instead.
