AGV has just unveiled its all-new AX-9 dual-purpose adventure touring helmet for, updating the design of its hugely popular AX-8 lid for 2019 to complement its new Explorer range of textile jackets and trousers.

With four different configurations, the lid can handle most riding scenarios. The options are peak and visor, no peak and visor, peak and goggles, no peak and goggles.

It’s a carbon-aramid-fibreglass blend shell that comes with an adjustable peak for keeping rain and dirt off your face.

Constructed using a combination of carbon, aramid and glass fibre – the lightweight ADV AX9 is available in three unique shell sizes, depending on the size of your head. It comes with a removable and washable interior which is intended to offer the best in rider comfort, with moisture wicking and skin irritation treatments found on both the cheek pads and crown.

Plus, the helmet has also been designed to ensure glasses wearers can ride in comfort. There’s a removable peak and a Pinlock-ready panoramic visor system – which means it can also be used with goggles – while ventilation is provided through a total of five vents, including an adjustable chinvent, two brow inlets and two extractors. There’s also a micro visor opening system which has been designed to help offer riders slightly more airflow.

It’s fitted using a Double-D ring retention system, which helps to keep the helmet in place at speed.
