There’s never been so much choice if you’re looking to stay safe when you’re out and about on two wheels. You don’t have to wear tight leathers or chunky textiles, as there’s a selection of stylish kit that wouldn’t look out of place down the pub. That’s exactly where this Kevlar Denim Riding Shirt from RST comes in. When the weather permits, I’ve been wearing it every time I go out on the bike. It looks great (I’ve had plenty of compliments from fellow bikers) and offers ample protection to look after me should the worst happen. It’s kitted out with CE level 1 shoulder and elbow armour as standard, and there’s a pocket for a back protector too. Constructed from sturdy Cordura denim, the shirt is also reinforced with DuPont Kevlar for top abrasion resistance. Thankfully I’ve not had to test just how well it crashes, but I’m confident it’d be more than up to the job of sliding down the Tarmac. It's comfortable too, with easyto-use zips and easily accessible pockets, but best of all it looks the part. If you’re after a stylish jacket that doesn’t compromise on quality and performance, it’s well worth a look. Best of all, it won’t break the bank, coming in at a competitive £129.99. You’d struggle to get a good quality normal denim jacket for that, never mind one that’s kitted out with Cordura, Kevlar, and shoulder and elbow protection. If you’re in the market for an extremely versatile jacket that you can wear on or off the bike, this one from RST is well worth a look.
