Yamaha YZF750SP

Motorcycle News (UK) - - Feature -

Another late-comer, the YZF is often overlooked. It was launched in 1993 in two versions: the 750R and WSB-ready SP, to succeed the FZ and OW01 respectively. Good-looking, powerful from the five-valve, Ow-evolved engine, sweet-handling thanks to the latest Deltabox and well-equipped with sixpot brakes and inverted forks, the SP, if not quite as exotic as the OW01, took things further with solo seat, Öhlins multi-adjustable suspension, flat-slide carbs and close-ratio gearbox – all for just £3000 over the stock machine.
