‘Even my old kit is still working well’
1. Alpinestars C10 Dry-star gloves £64.99
I’ve had these for three years and they’re really waterproof. Being short means I can comfortably get them under the cuffs of my jacket. They’ve had a lot of use and are holding up well.
2. Furygan WR-15 jacket £260
This is a good jacket with D30 soft armour and it’s really comfortable. It’s well-made but heavy with a thick thermal lining. Removing the lining and opening the vents means it’s OK for summer riding, but it’s not my go-to jacket in hot weather.
3. Lindstrand Lux pants £260
These are six years old, but they’re still waterproof. They still look good and the braces work well.
4. Arai QV Pro £350
My Shoei GT Air was noisy and let in water. This was recommended to me as something that would work with the upright bikes I ride.
5. Sena 10S intercom £290
I can hear my newly converted pillion chattering away, clear as day, even with my earplugs in. I also pair it to my phone for music and satnav instructions.
