ARMR Moto M799 Ace Jean
£99.99 // Tested by: Mau Spencer // www.tri-motive.com
New from ARMR Moto are these M799 Ace protective riding jeans. Made from a mixture of 380 grams Denim and 280 grams DuPont Woven Aramid material, they come with quite a good spec.
And talking of spec, they come with a feature not often found in riding jeans – height adjustable knee protector pockets; these proved especially useful in my case because when I initially put the jeans on, the knee protectors (which are included in the prices) hun a bit below my knees – one quick adjustment later and they fitted perfectly. Another useful feature is the elasticated stretch panels that are fitted to the legs and waist, allowing that little bit of extra fitting flexibility for the individual.
Protection-wise, all the hip and knee armour is CE certified with the safety aspect backed-up by the fitting of Aramid panels to the seat, hip and knee areas. It also comes with several storage pockets (two at the front, two to the rear, plus a place to keep your coins). In use, the jeans are extremely comfortable to wear (aided of course by their ‘stretchability’ properties); they also provide a reasonable amount of wind chill protection. I like them – I like them a lot.
