What they cost
“If you want a cheap, reliable Italian classic, buy a Pantah,” says Ducati expert John Fallon of Suffolk-based specialist Made In Italy (www.madeinitalymotorcycles.com). And by the standards of Italian classics, the Pantah is certainly cheap.
“They just don’t sell that well,” John says. “You see them on eBay for £6000-£7000 but I’ve never sold one for that much. For a nice 600 Pantah you might get an offer at £5000-£5500, and a bit less for a 500 – probably £4500-£5000 for one of those. For that sort of money they’re great value because a nice one is very good to ride.”
