2022 Welsh Classic Motorcycle Festival
Classic Bike Trackdays, the team behind the Endurance Legends weekend at Donington Park, has turned its sights on the Anglesey Circuit to give biking fans a new event, the Welsh Classic Motorcycle Festival, on May 28-29, 2022.
The 1.55-mile circuit, paddock and garages will host machines from vintage to modern classics, standard to highly modified, rare race bikes, demos, and parades.
The festival will also host the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle
Club and its National Welsh
Classic show as it celebrates the 40th anniversary of the club, with a wall-to-wall display of fantastic machines from its many, many members.
Bike-specific anniversaries will see riders of iconic machines take to the track in free anniversary parades. Celebrating 60 years will be the BSA Rocket Gold
Star; 50 years, Kawasaki Z1; 40 years, Honda CX500 Turbo and
Yamaha XJ650 Turbo; 30 years, Honda Fireblade; 25 years, Triumph T595 Daytona; and 20 years, Aprilia Tuono.
Visitors will also be treated to the sights and sounds of rare and exotic machines in their natural environment – out on the circuit, including the Pagani 1971 Factory MV Agusta Corse; Sete Gibernau Factory Motogp GP6 Ducati; John McGuiness Demon Vimto SP1; and Ruben Xaus' Ducati 748RS… and more original RC30 and RC45 race bikes than you can shake a works Kawasaki stick at.
Darin and Rob, from Classic Bike
Trackdays, said: “If you would like to be part of the show, display a bike, or want to take a ride up through the Welsh countryside and grab an ice cream and some chips, this weekend is the perfect antidote for those not going to the TT.”
Free camping pitches are available on site, with live music on the Saturday night – all within walking distance of the bar, of course.
