GT Cup rivals try out Bentley GT3

GT Cup rivals Jordan Witt and Darren Nelson could team up for an assault on the next British GT Championsh­ip rounds at Snetterton after a test last week.

Nelson swapped his regular Lamborghin­i Huracan GT3 for a run in Witt’s Bentley Continenta­l GT3, which has dominated the GT Cup so far this term.

Witt and his Jordan Racing team – which is operated by experience­d GT and Porsche squad Redline Racing – are known to be keen on a British GT entry this season as a toe in the water ahead of a more substantia­l campaign next season.

Witt, who is rated as a silver driver by SRO, is on the lookout for a bronze co-driver to make the deal happen.

Nelson said after his test at Donington Park: “I loved the experience of driving the car, it was just different to the Lamborghin­i. I think I have to be more aggressive in my car than I did in the Bentley though, but won’t be considerin­g a change as there is still a lot to develop with my car.”

British Touring Car Championsh­ip regular Ollie Jackson was a late entry to the Dunlop Prototype Series at Donington Park last weekend with the factory Ginetta team.
