Kiwis top Paris to Peking adventure

Teams from New Zealand and Australia were the winners of the 2016 edition of the Peking to Paris Motor Challenge, which finished on Sunday after more than a month of competition.

A total of 98 crews finished. New Zealanders Bruce and Harry Washington won the prize for the Vintageants in their 1929 Chrysler 75 Roadster, while Mark Pickering and Dave Boddy from Australia won the Classic category in their 1973 Datsun 240Z. “Each country was like its own rally,” said Harry Washington. “Once you crossed the border, you never knew what you’d get.”
