MRF Challenge prize drive for Civic champ
The winner of the Civic Cup in 2017 will be rewarded with a drive in a round of the singleseater MRF Challenge event.
The Cup has teamed up with MRF, which will serve as the tyre supplier and provide a truck at the tin-top championship’s rounds this year.
As part of that arrangement, the overall champion of the series – which will run as a single class in 2017 following measures to equalise the performance of the previous Class A and B cars – will win a fully-funded arrive and drive package to contest one round of the MRF Challenge, which is held in India and the Middle East. The prize is worth around £20,000.
The package also includes flights, accomodation and transport. Fully paid-up and registered drivers who compete in six of the seven 2017 rounds will be eligible for the prize.
The winter MRF Challenge series is a sanctioned by the FIA and utilises cars built by Italian manufacturer Dallara with a 250bhp Mountune engine.
