Streather completes switch to WDE for second Clio Cup season
Renault UK Clio Cup race winner Paul Streather will switch to the WDE Motorsport squad for his second full season in the series.
The 27-year-old raced for Finesse Motorsport in 2016, finishing seventh in the standings, but has tested for WDE over the winter ( MN, November 23) ahead of the move.
“I’ve tested with WDE and, with them, I’ll have full-time team-mates [yet to be signed] to compare data with which is bound to bring me on more as a driver,” said Streather. “They also have vast experience of running the UK Clio Cup race car. I really want to thank Finesse though for the effort they put into me in 2016.
“They are a fantastic bunch of people and I’ll always remain friends with them.”
