Over the next week, Sky Sports F1 is dedicating many of its F1 Classic Races programmes to significant grands prix in the career of Damon Hill.

First up (Wednesday, 2100-2130hrs) is his home triumph in a controversial British Grand Prix from 1994. The 1993 German GP – a race that was set to mark Hill’s first win until late drama – is next (Thursday, 2100-2200hrs).

Then comes one of Hill’s most famous missed victories (Friday, 1845-2300hrs). He was all set to win the 1997 Hungarian GP for midfielder Arrows until mechanical problems intervened. And lastly there is Hill’s final F1 win in a chaotic 1998 Belgian GP (Monday, 2100-2330hrs).

But if you’d rather watch races featuring some of the young prospects battling to be future F1 stars, you are well catered for this week. First up is a double bill from the recent FIA F3 weekend in Hungary (Saturday, 17501955hrs, Sky Sports F1). The new-for-2019 championship has attracted some of the best junior single-seater talents around and the title fight is delicately poised after these races.

Closer to home, there’s also BRDC

British F3 action from the penultimate round of the season at Silverstone, where Clement Novalak and Johnathan Hoggard continued their fight for the crown (Monday, 1700-1800hrs, BT Sport 2).

And finally, if club racing is of greater interest to you, then you can catch all of the frenetic Caterham action from a recent Donington Park meeting on Sunday (08000900hrs, Eurosport 2).
