BMW SWITCH FOR BRITISH RALLYCROSS STAR WOLOCH

-

British Supernational rallycross driver Slawomir Woloch will step out of his ex-liam Doran Ford Fiesta and race a brandnew BMW M3 in 2020.

Woloch sampled an Automax Motorsport BMW M3 in a pair of events at the end of 2018 before commissioning a new build from the Krzysztof Skorupski-owned outfit in Poland.

“The feeling when I tried the BMW was very good, so the decision was easy for what to do next,” Woloch told MN.

“The new car runs a stock BMW M3 four-litre V8 engine, with a Sellholm sequential box and Sellholm rear axle.”

The new machine had its first run in Poland last week where the car completed 40 laps without problem. Woloch added: “Compared to the Fiesta the M3 is much faster, but also much easier to drive. The longer wheelbase makes a huge difference and I’m looking forward to going racing.

The target in BRX is to be on the podium, that would be fantastic.”

Woloch plans to combine a British RX campaign with selected Polish events.
