TEAM HARD OFFERS PAID GINETTA GT4 SUPERCUP DRIVE IN SCHOLARSHIP
Team Hard is offering a fullyfunded 2021 Ginetta GT4 Supercup championship drive with the squad in its latest scholarship competition.
The prize, worth around £150,000, of a season in the British Touring Car Championship-supporting category is on a full arrive-and-drive basis as well as includes 10 test days and a 12-month management programme.
The team first ran a scholarship contest in 2013 and the contest for a 2020 drive was won by
Ollie Brown, who will make his competitive motorsport debut with the team in this year’s GT Cup.
For the 2021 scholarship the involvement of sponsor RCIB Insurance has allowed the prize to go up a level to the GT4 Supercup.
The contest is open to anyone over the age of 16 with a senior race licence or anyone without a race licence who holds a full UK driving licence. The contest is not intended for those already with significant senior-level racing experience, though anyone unsure of their eligibility can contact the team for confirmation. The cost of entering is £500 and the assessment days will be held at the end of this season.
“Anyone can enter and anyone can win,” Team Hard’s marketing manager Joshua Bashford told Motorsport News, “and this year’s a prime example, Ollie Brown has never raced a car in his life. He turned up and he was the fastest thing we’ve almost ever seen in terms of someone who’s just out the box. This is about giving someone who hasn’t had the chance to fulfil their dream.”
