LE MANS STAR TURNER ADDS BRITISH GT CAMPAIGN WITH NEWBRIDGE MOTORSPORT
Three-time Le Mans winner Darren Turner will race in British GT this year in a Newbridge Motorsport
Aston Martin Vantage GT4 Pro-Am partnership with category newcomer Matt Topham.
Turner contested a full British GT3 campaign with Andrew Howard and Beechdean AMR in 2018 plus made a one-off appearance with M2 Competition the following year. He now pairs with Topham who last year in his first national GT series season claimed several GT Cup class wins aboard Newbridge’s Vantage GT4.
Newbridge is also starting its firstever full-season British GT campaign following a one-off appearance at Silverstone last season. Aston works driver Turner will also race this season in GT Cup with Feathers Motor Sport, again in a Vantage GT4.
Turner said: “[British GT] is always competitive and I have no doubt 2021 will be another absolute cracker. AMR is placing even more emphasis on its customer racing programmes this year and I will do my utmost to help Matt and the team achieve their goals.”
