EURO RUNNER LAUNCHES SCHEME TO OFFSET RALLYING EMISSIONS
European championship contender Yoann Bonato is doing his bit for the environment by launching a tree-planting scheme.
The three-time French champion will plant one new tree for every stage he wins in this year’s
ERC aboard his Citroen C3 Rally2.
Bonato, 37, said: “As a rally driver, you can’t lock yourself in a bubble hoping to be able to drive for as long as possible without taking a sustainable approach.
“For several seasons, I have been asking myself the question: ‘what can I do?’ One stage victory for one tree is a small step for the environment but a big step for our passion.”
