GINETTA JUNIORS, GT5 CHALLENGE, G40 CUP, GT4 SUPERCUP AND GTA
There will as ever be plenty of Ginetta action at TOCA meetings in 2021, with the Ginetta Juniors, GT5 Challenge and G40 Cup racing at Thruxton this weekend. The GT4 Supercup starts at next month’s Snetterton meeting while the entry-level GT Academy and its new G55 appears on the package later this year.
Ginetta Junior returnees include Josh Miller who won 2020’s finale and Seb Hopkins who finished fifth in the points. While, among the rookies, scholarship winners Robert de Haan and Maurice Henry are worth a look.
The GT5 Challenge field has a fresh look, though 2021 podium finishers, Conner Garlick and John Bennett, remain as does treble fourth-place-finisher Magnus Kriklywi. And at Thruxton there’ll be a familiar face in Max Coates competing with Breakell Racing.
Last year’s GT4 Supercup top two have decamped to British GT, to become Century teammates, though 2020’s third-place standings finisher Tom Hibbert returns with Rob Boston Racing and fourth-place man Adam Smalley’s back with Elite too.
