SORDO REJOINS HYUNDAI FOR RALLY PORTUGAL

Dani Sordo will replace Craig Breen in Hyundai’s factory

WRC line-up in Portugal.

The move, which had been expected as part of the Spaniard’s car-sharing programme with Breen, will hand Sordo his first World start since January’s Monte Carlo Rally and his first alongside new co-driver Borja Rozada.

Sordo is an expert on the stages around the Fafe region, where part of Rally Portugal is based and won the Portuguese championsh­ip Rallye Serras de Fafe in 2019.

Thierry Neuville and Ott Tanak complete the works Hyundai entry in Portugal with Oliver Solberg and Ole Christian Veiby driving for its WRC2 squad.
