GRAHAM SETS THE GOULD STANDARD

- By Phil James

John Graham was quickest from the start at the recent Aintree Sprint, eventually powering his Gould GR55B to a stunning time of 38.96 seconds.

A change of tyres for the final two runs meant he became the only driver to set sub 40s times throughout the day.

Graham’s closest challenger was Paul Tinsley in the Dallara F397.

In a close contest between a pair of Forces, Glyn Sketchley won the battle for third fastest time as the PT pilot stopped the clocks 0.3s quicker than the TA of Robert Tonge. Ian Rowlance, better known for rallying exploits in a 6R4, made his debut in a Reynard 2KF and completed the top five.
