“The only unusual thing about it is how the gearbox is spaced away from the bellhousing with this adapter plate. That’s just to give it a longer wheelbase. A lot of people have looked at that as it’s unique. At Oulton Park, a lot of people were looking in there and saying they’d never seen anything like that. But it gives it a longer wheelbase and it’s a very slippery car. So it should be a good car given time to develop it. Apart from the gearbox, it’s a typical design of its age.”
