I was 18. I’ve been competing on the hills since 2005 and with this chassis from 2019. It’s a 1720cc Hayabusa on petrol running at 290bhp. You have to really push hard and get everything right to be competitive. The choice not to move up into a bigger car is about time and cost. There is fantastic competition in the classes and a very good atmosphere among the teams and drivers.”
