COOK SERVES UP RENAULT CATEGORY
The Cooksport Renault Cup conceived by British Touring Car star Josh Cook and his company will make its bow in 2023 with the British Racing and Sports Car Club.
A selection of Clios and Meganes will contest the new series. Cook’s Cooksport racing, tuning and performance supply company and the BRSCC are already in partnership with Cooksport developing the recently introduced Mk7 Fiesta Junior car and supplying all control parts.
Cook said: “Whilst we’ve been looking at launching a Cooksport-backed Renault race series for a while now, we wanted to wait until the timing was right and a credible racing platform became available to us.
“Even from within our own loyal customer base, we see numerous owners racing their cars in different series, and they tell us that a singlebrand full season of racing is something they’d much prefer.”
