Mitchell maddened

Last year’s third-place finisher, historics ace turned modern racer Ben Mitchell, again battled at the Hayes business end. But his effort ended with a violent crash into the wall exiting Turn 1 of his semi-final. He told MN: “[I’m] a little bit sore, a little bit bruised, but I’m OK. The car felt good. The heat was about staying out of trouble. I was in the process of making three places off the start, but then the car got away from me for whatever reason.”
