RACEWAY CONFIRMS BRITISH GT ENTRY
Champion squad confirms planned two-Ginetta effort for GT4 contest
Multiple Ginetta champion Raceway Motorsport is set to make its British GT debut this season with two Ginetta G56 GT4s driven by returnee Freddie Tomlinson and GT Academy frontrunner Thomas Holland.
Established Ginetta team Raceway plans to enter Tomlinson in one G56 and Holland in the other, with their driver partners to be confirmed.
Ginetta is starting a three-year partnership with British GT organiser SRO under which the manufacturer, as well as running its championships at British GT meetings, commits to a number of British GT4 entries.
Tomlinson, 18, is the son of Lawrence Tomlinson whose LNT Group owns Ginetta and he made his British GT4 bow last season in an Assetto G56. He was supported by Raceway in his progression from karting to cars.
Holland, 20, has progressed through Ginetta’s racing ladder over the last three years, and was a 2022 race winner with Raceway in GT Academy.
Raceway owners Luca Hirst and Nicole Hirst said: “Since the birth of our team in 2020, we have competed for podiums and championships in Ginetta GRDC, G40 Cup, GT5 and GT Academy. The success achieved has inspired us to scale the Ginetta ladder to greater heights. The use of the prestigious Ginetta G56 GT4 car will further our achievements.
“The Ginetta motorsport ladder admirably assists progression of both teams and individual drivers wishing to excel in their motorsport careers. Our driver, Thomas Holland, is a prime example.
He has already competed in Ginetta G40 Cup, GTA and will now be making his debut in British GT.”
