CROSS CARS TO JOIN BRITISH RALLYCROSS OFFERING
The British Rallycross Championship has adopted a Cross Car category for 2024, the class for FIA-specification machines popular in Europe and already run in the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross series.
The class with only be for buggies running to full FIA homologation, including engine ECUs. Cross Car machines, built by a range of manufacturers under the same rule set will run together with the existing single-seater RX150 category in British Championship. RX150 has been part of the British rallycross roster for more than a decade.
Eleven Cross Cars entered the opening round of the Clubmans series at Blyton Park earlier this month, while FIA-sanctioned machines are also becoming more widely used in Ireland.
