TIP Carol Onslow (56) 5ft 3in lost four stone to weigh 14st 8lbs

Having tried a variety of diets over many years a chance ar ticle in her local newspaper about clinical hypnotherapists Lisa

Pawlowski and Sheila Granger made Carol Onslow think it could work for weight loss.

The added motivation was “to not spoil my daughter Samantha’s wedding photos”. Carol’s hunch proved right, within four months she had lost 41/2 stones in time for the wedding, and dropped three dress sizes from 24. She’s now determined to keep going and lose 2 stone more to achieve size 12-14.

“Hypnotherapy has changed my relationship with food for the better,” said Carol who had a course of four hypnotherapy sessions during which Lisa ‘walked’ Carol through a visualization exercise in which she was having a gastric band fitted.

“I can remember the consultant’s face, and the conversation I had with him, vividly,” she says, as though the operation really happened. “This all seems to have lodged in my subconscious mind and changed my whole habits.”

“It’s as though I’ve had a real gastric band fitted. The volume of food I eat has reduced and I can physically eat only a fraction of the amount I used to.”

“I stick to three meals a day and find I just can’t eat between meals, and I no longer nibble when I’m preparing meals or binge on chocolate bars when I fill the car with fuel. I just don’t feel hungr y, unless I’m an hour or more late for one of my meals.”

“There are other benefits too. I have been decorating and can now get up a ladder. I am much more active, and even silly things like painting my toenails are easier.”
