Create a candle centrepiece for the Christmas table in the form of a tray display, a wreath or a runner. Gather your materials, such as evergreen foliage, moss, berries, colourful stems, winter flowers and accessories (which might include baubles, cinnamon sticks and star anise). Slices of dried orange look attractive and can be produced in a dehydrator or low oven. Ideally, protect the naked flames by placing the candles in glass jars in the centre of the display.
