Food banks regularly issue updates on items they need the most, so pop some suitable goodies into one of their collection points next time you are out shopping. Local animal rescues might soon also accept donations of essentials such as food items or bedding, too.

National charities need support to continue with the incredible work they do, but of course there are also thousands of smaller, local charities struggling to survive during lockdown, too.
