Jodie Salt (43) from Cheshire is an executive coach who specialises in asser tiveness coaching for women. She’s the bestselling author of Woman Up and runs this as a signature course and membership, as well as personal development and well-being retreats for women all over the world.
“I love in person events and I wanted to find a way to get my online audience together in real life because you can’t beat that connection and energy.
When I star ted Womanifest https://womanifest.co.uk/ the response was epic. Women were cr ying out for this. I first ran it in 2020 at the Hilton on Deansgate in Manchester where over 1,000 women attended. Covid crushed our plans to do it in 2021 but it also inspired me to take it outdoors from a Covid risk perspective, and the idea of a festival style was born – as it is called Womanifest after all. The first time round I had a business par tner and we did it together but we’re no longer working together. This time I’ve built a team around me to make it happen and we’re currently looking for some amazing sponsors to join us.
“I felt Womanifest was needed because I’m a woman who needs all this in my life and so do the women I’m friends with and network with. I’m my own ideal customer really. When I talk to people about it they get really excited and the feedback we got after the first one completely validated that it was needed. We need it more than ever this year after being locked up for 2 years.
“It takes a whole 12 months of planning and then a couple of days to get it set up, and financially it’s a big responsibility, but I never doubted the experience women would have.
“Building the audience in these early years is challenging and missing a year also meant we lost the momentum from the first event. Ever y decision is based on 5 criteria: does it educate, empower, enter tain, inspire or liberate? It has to do at least 1 of those things to be in.
“It absolutely smashed my expectations and the best part of it was the energy and vibe. Amazing things happen when women come together and celebrate each other. That’s the definition of Womanifest: when women use their innate feminine energy to make things happen. We’ll be continuing with this ever y year, making it bigger and better each time. Women say they left feeling like a different woman than when they walked in, many turning their lives around as a result.”
