At last, summer is well and truly here! So this month I’ve given our garden shed a glamorous new makeover, discovered doggie ice cream in the freezer aisle, and saved a tidy bundle on my mobile phone insurance…

Glam up your garden shed

We’ve finally demolished our old garden shed and got a smar t new one but as it’s plain old wood, I glammed it up with a pot of fence paint. I’ve used different brands over the years but this one from Ronseal did the job a treat – and I got 3 coats from just one tub! I went for the colour Slate but there’s a gorgeous midnight blue if you fancy giving your shed the “beach hut” look.

Has anyone else found that hunting down the perfect pair of shorts is a repeat of the jeans nightmare? You can spend hours trying shops, brands and sizes until you find the perfect fit! Now I know there’s no one size fits all when it comes to that perfect pair, but reckon I’ve found them in Next for £20. If you don’t want your pets to miss out on summer treats then pick up a tub of “doggie ice cream” that’s new in the freezer aisles at Aldi, at £2.99 for a pack of 4 (110ml) tubs – all plant based with

real fruit and veg in two flavours – apple and carrot or pea and vanilla. Just don’t tell my cats… or maybe I should have a word with the powers that be at Aldi to suggest they bring out cat ice cream, too?
